Jerry MacMartin
1947-2004

 

 

We hereby nominate Jerry MacMartin for membership in the Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association Hall of Fame. Jerry is a long-time member of Branch 3 (San Francisco Bay Area), and has served in many capacities in the Branch 3 organization, including Director in 1992, Vice President from 1993 through 1995, and President from 1996 through 2000. Jerry helped an of us through the turmoil of late 1997 and the subsequent reorganization under new leadership in 1998, participating in the re-writing of the by-laws for the re­vitalized organization.

Jerry has been the EDGE&TA Web Master since early 1998, when he assumed the duties upon the death of our previous web master, Bob Learned. Under Jerry’s hand, our Web Site has become one of the best and most useab1e sites pertaining to our hobby, receiving several awards from Jerry’s peers in the Webmaster community.

Jerry began his administrative services to the National Organization as Southwest advisor, becoming a National Director in 2002, a position which he still holds.

In addition to these administrative accomplishments, Jerry has been active for many years restoring and exhibiting his beautiful collection of engines featuring the Witte line, and has always been willing to share his expertise, especially in the area of magnetos, with anyone who needed his help.
